Emirates Airlines was established in 1985 and is based at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3. Emirates is not only the biggest airline in the Near East region, but it also ranks among the top 10 air carriers in the world.

The national carrier of the Republic of Malta Air Malta was founded in 1974. It is based at Malta International Airport, in the city of Luqa Malta. TAROM Romanian Air Transport was founded in 1954 and is based at Bucharest Otopeni – Henry Coanda airport.
